Want to play Mac A10 Cuba on new versions of OSX?
You're in the right place!

A-10 Cuba has been long forgotten and left to die in the world of Abandonware!
One of my all time favorite games left to die :( **Sniff

However, fear not as this page is an attempt to keep it going on newer versions os OSX now and into the future.
(hopefully - with Apple silicone around the corner who knows...).

As of this writing I have A10 Cuba running in Big Sur 11.0 Beta.... perfectly!

Checkout Steve Russillo's Hog Heaven for other A10 Cuba info and instructions on how to play etc.

You will need to download a few things from these places:

- Latest build of SheepShaver (HERE)
- A compatible Mac Classic ROM file (HERE)
- A base Mac OS9 system image (HERE)
- A working version of A10 Cuba (HERE)

OK... Lets get installing!

Move your A10 Cuba.zip to the desktop from your downloads and uncompress.

Uncompress SheepShaver_notarized_20200922.zip (in your downloads folder)
Install Sheep Shaver, by moving the app to your desktop.

Decompress the newworld86.rom.zip (in your downloads folder)
Move the newworld86.rom file from your downloads to the same location as the sheep shaver app on the desktop.
Make certain to rename the ROM file to Mac OS ROM - No extensions or anything, keep the name as indicated above!

Move OS9.img to the desktop too

Launch Sheep Shaver - On first launch you will need to go into preferences (image below)

Target your ROM File you just renamed (Mac OS ROM)

In volumes Add the OS9.img from the desktop.

Adjust the Ram Size to something useful or OS9 will have performance issues (256mb is plenty)

Save and Quit

Relaunch Sheepeshaver with you new settings

Now it's up and running, in the OS9 finder open the hard drive called UNIX (This is your actual Mac OSX HD - See Image below)

Open Users > your username folder > Desktop > A-10 Cuba

For speed / performance improvements copy the A10 Cuba game folder to the OS9 HD
